Whiskey + Rock’n’roll = Albino

It’s common knowledge that most rock bands like to indulge in a little alcohol therapy from time to time, but vintage folk-rockers Albino perhaps enjoy this more than anyone else, fuelling their rock’n’roll sound with whiskey.

Labelling themselves as ‘London’s greatest alcoholic garage rock band (probably)’, four piece folk-rock band Albino are on the road to releasing their latest album, Night At The Chemist, from which their new retro-infused single, ‘Belinda’, is taken.

‘Belinda’ could be straight out of the 60s with its organ-led sound and noodling guitar solo, whilst lead singer and guitarist, Ben Tucker’s vocals power the track (along with the whiskey) in a rather amusing narrative which is mirrored in the video through the beautiful medium of lego.

Since their inception in 2005, Albino has undergone a musical metamorphosis, travelling a long way from their humble beginnings, but now, the off-the-wall band has cemented their style and truly found their own sound. Whilst Albino’s eclectic and multi-talented musical line up has changed over the years, their musical direction, commitment and energy has always remained constant.

As the band have stated: ‘We may not change the world with our music, but we’ll definitely leave a scar.’

Anthony Tullo reveals new country-rock single ‘Borderline’

New single out June 15th

Based in Ontario, Canada, Anthony Tullo is a country-rock singer-songwriter who is looking to take on the UK music industry with new single ‘Borderline’. It’s a very promising year for an artist whose old school style has been compared to the classic likes of Bruce Springsteen, John Melencamp, Bob Segar, Bryan Adams and others, but with an decidedly contemporary edge. Riding the current worldwide wave of roots, country and folk music, Anthony Tullo is an artist who is here to stay.

Hugely creative and multi-talented, Anthony is returning to the music industry after some years away from the business,  first deciding to pursue his song writing again when a self-written soundtrack to his own independent film captured attention. The movie itself went on to win awards in Canada and is now available globally online, while the result of his renewed song writing confidence in the stellar new rock single ‘Borderline’.

Revered by critics, radio and writers in his native Canada, and also invited to play some of the country’s most prestigious venues, Anthony Tullo’s reputation is already cemented and still growing on the other side of the Atlantic.

His first chance to break into the industry saw Anthony catch the eye of a notoriously difficult to please A&R at Warners over a decade ago, but his progress was halted by the tragic events of Sepember 11th, 2001 in New York. Following that day, the promising start to his career was halted by a label who (understandably) had other priorities, leading to Anthony Tullo leaving the industry for a time.

But now he’s back, a self-made musician with a point to prove. And if anyone disagrees with him, they should probably know one more thing – he funds his music career by competing and training others in the arts of Brazilian Ju-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts.

This is one independent artist who needs to be taken seriously – in every sense.
