This years World Cup is always a time for artists, young and old to compete for the top spot and to use their song to represent the England squad on their football conquest.
One young lady looking to do just this is the Britain’s got talent finalist, Gabz. Who you may recall climbed to fame with her onesie wearing, piano playing tune called Lighters, that she wrote and sang herself. Whilst its unclear as to whether Gabz has written her latest track herself, we know that it stands a very good chance against the competition and wish her the best of luck!
Gabz who is only 15 years old has used her strong following to leverage here new single for the Brazil World Cup of 2014. Her aim with this single is to be the first ever female artist to have a Number One world cup song and at the same time raise money for charity.
Gabz has said that every sale of her single, she will donate 25p for every download to the make a wish foundation.
Make-A-Wish grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. “We are extremely grateful to Gabz for choosing to support Make-A-Wish,” said Amanda Williams, Director of Fundraising at Make-A-Wish. “Proceeds from the song will help us grant more magical wishes to brave and deserving young people. In 2014 we hope to grant 900 wishes, so her support is invaluable.”
