Lapland Releases Self-Titled Debut Album

After picking up a huge variety of rave reviews and praise, Lapland is releasing his stunning debut self-titled album ‘Lapland’ on 10th March, alongside his UK debut single ‘Where Did It Go?’ When listening to the album, one can almost sense the infinite diversity of influences that have shaped Lapland’s style. Born in Brooklyn yet seeking comfort in the solitude of his thoughts, his spirituality is reflected in this uplifting album.

Come May, Lapland will be embarking on his first set of UK performances, including all three legs at this years Dot-To-Dot festival. He has already received critical acclaim for his music from both the UK and the US:

Josh Mease’s smooth voice fills out his mixes with dense background vocals, and there is a certain timelessness to the shape of his melodies. The full and dreamy production transports the listener to a space and time far from the chaos of the city, notwithstanding the unusual electronic effects. Think Grizzly Bear with some Boards of Canada mixed in”. The Deli Magazine [US]

Absolutely perfect. – We All Want Someone To Shout For [UK]

‘Texan boy with the melodic gifts of the greats and the studio nous of a wunderkind … Album of the year, so far.’ The Guardian [UK] JANUARY 2014 –
